We had a crazy weekend. I got together with A and
her German friends again. This time Ang and her
boyfriend came along. Kang was very nice.
He took his van out for us. We started the night
at Taurus. It was all right. But we liked That's
It better. After we left Taurus, we looked for a place
to hang out but none of the respectable places,
as far as we knew, was open. We went to Patpong.
We actually took a quick look in one disco theque.
A didn't like it at all because there were too many
'cheap farangs' and working girls. I don't know how
she could tell. But anyway, we didn't know where to go.
I had not drunk for a long time that I forgot I like to nimble
when I drink. I wanted some kao tom kui and we drove
around for that. At around 3 o'clock in the morning,
Kang suggested driving down to Pattaya. I know it was
a crazy idea, but hey I AM crazy. We unanimously said,
"Why not?" In the van we listened to music, chat and sang.
"Chan ja pai Pattaya. Chan ja pai Pattaya." "Pai chan pai do i kon.
" that' was what we sang. We caught the sun rise in Pattaya.
It was beautiful and peaceful. This reminded me of a
TV commercial for some energy drink. We had breakfast
at Burger King. The cashier asked me if I wanted my coffee
' for here or for home.' That's really funny. Obviously
I didn't have a home to go to; otherwise, I wouldn't have
to come to Burger King for a cup of coffee
at 6 o'clock in the morning. |

สุดสัปดาห์นี้เราบ้ากันมากเลย ฉันไปเที่ยวกับเอ๋และ
เพื่อนชาวเยอรมันอีกแล้ว คราวนี้อังกับแฟนมาด้วย
กั้งน่ารักมาก เขาอุตสาห์เอารถตู้ออกมารับเรา
เราเริ่มต้นกันที่ทอร์รัส มันก็งั้นๆ แหละ เราชอบร้าน
That's It มากกว่า หลังจากที่เราออกมาจากทอร์รัส
เราหาที่ดีๆ ที่ยังเปิดหลังตีสอง แต่ไม่มีที่ไหนเลย
เราไปที่ฟัฒน์พงษ์ เราลองเข้าไปดูดิสโกเธคแห่งหนึ่ง
เอ๋ไม่ชอบเลยเพราะมีฝรั่งกระจอกๆ กับผู้หญิงหากินเต็มไปหมด
ฉันไม่รู้เหมือนกันว่าเขารู้ได้อย่างไรว่าใครเป็นอะไร อย่างไรก็ตาม
เราไม่รู้ว่าจะไปที่ไหนดี ฉันไม่ได้ดื่มเหล้าตั้งนาน นานเสียจนฉันลืม
ไปว่าฉันชอบขอเคี้ยวเวลาที่ได้ดื่ม ฉันอยากกินข้าวต้มกุ้ยขึ้นมาลางดึก
เราเที่ยวขับรถหาร้านข้าวต้มกิน ประมาณตีสามกั้งเสนอขึ้นมาว่า
เราไปพัทยากันไหม ฉันรู้ว่ามันเป็นความคิดที่บ้ามากเลย
แต่ฉันนี่หล่ะที่บ้า เราเห็นพ้องต้องกันเป็นเอกฉันท์ว่าไป
ในรถเราฟังเพลง คุย และร้องเพลง "ฉันจะไปพัทยา
ฉันจะไปพัทยา" "ไปฉันไปด้วยคน" นั่นคือเพลงที่เราร้อง
เราไปทันดูพระอาทิตย์ขึ้นที่พัทยาพอดี มันสวยงามและดูสงบมาก
มันทำให้ฉันนึกถึงโฆษณาเครื่องดื่มชูกำลังชนิดหนึ่งทางโทรทัศน์
เราไปทานอาหารเช้ากันที่เบอร์เกอร์คิง พนักงานคิดเงินที่เค้าน์เตอร์
ถามฉันว่าฉันจะรับกาแฟ "ทานที่นี่หรือกลับบ้าน" มันเป็นคำพูดที่
ตลกมาก เห็นอยู่ชัดๆ ว่าฉันไม่มีบ้านให้กลับ มิเช่นนั้นฉันคงไม่ต้อง
มาซื้อกาแฟกินที่เบอร์เกอร์คิงตอนหกโมงเช้าหรอก |

As we started the trip home, Kang asked,
"Do you want to stop my at Bang San for lunch?"
It was only 9.30 in the morning but lunch sounded great.
At this point none of us got any sleep and we started
to get worried about the driver, so we stopped over
in Bang San. We were not prepared for this and had
nothing with us. Can you imagine eight people all
dressed up for the night walking along Bang San
beach? If not, let me help you. A and Ang were wearing
skirt and high heels. The guys-and gays-got their shirts
and nice shoes on. I was lucky that I decided not to go
in my spagetthi strap or tube top. I was wearing jeans
and boots probably the closest to the beach look.
A, Ang and I bought shorts with the same pattern
but different colors. We would start and Johnson Kid gang.

พอเราออกเดินทางกลับบ้าน กั้งถามอีกว่า
"อยากจะไปกินข้าวกลางวันที่บางแสนไหม"
ตอนนั้นเป็นเวลาเก้าโมงครึ่ง แต่อาหารกลางวันก็ไม่เลวนะ
ถึงจุดนี้พวกเรายังไม่มีใครได้นอนเลย
เราเริ่มเป็นห่วงคนขับรถเล็กน้อย เราไม่ได้คิดว่า
จะมาชายทะเลจึงไม่ได้เตรียมอะไรมาเลย เธอพอ
จะนึกภาพออกไหม ถ้าไม่ออกฉันจะช่วยบรรยายให้
เอ๋กับอังใส่กระโปรงและรองเท้าส้นสูง ชายหนุ่มและ
ชายไม่หนุ่ม แต่งตัวเต็มยศในเสื้อเชิ้ตตัวเก๋าและรองเท้าคู่เก่ง
ดีนะที่ฉันไม่ได้ใส่สายเดี่ยวหรือเกาะอกมา ฉันใส่กางเกงยีนส์
กับรองเท้าบู๊ท ซึ่งใกล้เคียงกับชุดเดินชายหาดที่สุดแล้ว
เอ๋ อัง และฉันซื้อกางเกงขาสั้นลายเดียวกันแต่คนละสี
เราจะตั้งแก๊งจอห์นสันคิดส์กัน |

We got back in the afternoon. It was fun.
The spontaneous idea of driving to Pattaya at 3 in
the morning is probably the best plan of the year
so far. We hardly got any sleep. Now I have an
long over due appointment with my bed. Good night. |

เรากลับถึงกรุงเทพตอนบ่าย มันเป็นการเที่ยวที่สนุกมาก
จู่ๆ นึกว่าจะขับรถไปพัทยาก็ไปกันตอนตีสามเลย
คงเป็นการวางแผนเที่ยวที่ดีที่สุดของฉันในรอบปีทีเดียว
เรายังไม่ได้นอนกันเลย และนี่ก็เลยเวลาที่ฉันมีนัดกับเตียงมานานแล้ว
